The most important part of painting is the preparation. New wood needs to be
tested with a moisture meter to ensure there will be no blistering due to

Here in America
top
Born and raised in Brazil, Serlio obtained a Road Technition degree in 1985
and began his five year Surveying career. He travelled to many cities and
states within Brazil and was well respected in his field.
Serlio arrived here in America March 1990. It was a sense of adventure that
led him to leave his successful career in Brazil as a land surveyer to
venture to America.
Serlio originally thought to continue his career here in America. He began
his painting career while taking Surveying and English classes at Norwalk
Community Technical College. The lure of independence as the owner of a
painting company won out. He now owns and runs a very successful company in
Fairfield County CT, where he competes daily with over 5,000 other painting
companies.
Much of Serlio's success is due to his clients happily referring him to their
friends and neighbors.

About Brazil
top
He was born and raised for most of his life in a small town in Minas Gerias.
Serlio comes from a family of 5, having 3 brothers and a sister. His immediate
family is very large and, with over 80 first cousins, always make family
gatherings quite a festive occasion.
Serlio was raised in the "interior" of Brazil. This statement
brings visions of the tropical rain forests so commonly associated with South
America. Minas Gerais has a landscape which resembles PA or Upstate NY.
Rolling hills, mountain ranges and lush greenery. Eucalyptus, yucca, coffee
and pineapple are commonly produced in this area. Beef, milk and the
famous Minas Cheese, which is known throughout Brazil.
This beautiful country forever has a piece of his heart and that of his
American wife. If you'd like to see this country through the eyes of his
wife, who has a passion for photography equalling her passion for this
country, click here.
